  2. Anyone here trade from Manchester? We are heading over on Thursday for a wedding on Friday and i was looking at BCA and Manhiem to see what was going through that day, at the moment there doesn't seem to be anything for me going through although it is early days so will keep checking the listings. Anyone have a few trade in's while im over there incase i dont get anything bought? I hate wasting a journey. Give me a message if you's have anything, Thanks!

  3. Out of interest what stock have you advertised? I think we stock similar stuff, i remember seeing you say you had a few fiestas and bmws if i mind right? For me smaller first time cars like fiestas always done well on Gumtree, again it might be different here in NI but would always be worth a shot.

Hi NITM. EBay mostly, cars are on FB Marketplace too, sold a few that way.

They're on Car Gurus too, but most are sold through eBay.

Very very rarely advertise on AutoTrader.

I actually have quite good luck with facebook marketplace and surprisngly gumtree, maybe give them a go? Is your yard along or close to a main road? Maybe set a few out forsale also?

Done a spreadsheet of 30 cars with locations, distances from Bromsgrove where they were sold from, and distances to Walsall (where I am/going to be). Trying to insert an image but it's not working.

Out of 30 cars, 10 are closer to Walsall, and 6 are similar distances, so I'd like to think I would have gotten the sales anyway.

It's worrying how many people travelled only half an hour though, or how many people the travel time is literally double that to come to Walsall.

Got 4 cars up for sale at the moment (around 2 weeks now), all 4 advertised in Walsall. Enquiries on all, but only 1 viewing and no sales so far. Wondering if it's price, price bracket, location, or just quiet. Do I drop prices, do I change sale location to Bromsgrove, or do I just wait? Pretty frustrating.

Where do you advertise? Its probably different here in Northern Ireland but we have a few different platforms, i always start with the likes of Gumtree, Usedcarsni and facebook (Only because its free) then if no calls id advertise on a site called Donedeal which is for the southern of Ireland, Ive had people travel from the very bottom (Roughly 7-8 hours) for stuff that is rightly priced.

  6. This has probably been covered 1000 of times, but is there anywhere online that you can purchase a decent vehicle sales invoice book? Not ebay specials with ' no warranty given or implied ' etc. Or where is everyone getting theres? Thanks in advance!

It was actually something a friend said to me that really got me thinking

his dad passed away last year and he said you cant spend time with them when there not there

I guy used to come to the auctions with me he's passed away now was older than me and sort of looked up to him I remember when he died his son said to me at the funeral after we both carried the coffin he wished he had said more to him they hadn't seen each other in years

he said i cant speak to a headstone that really touched me and probably got me thinking i should spend time with mine when i can .

Its not about how much we make etc if i make a living wage now I'm happy

your health is wealth .. my dad says

sometimes i factor in both i might take a car to there house to valet it etc

This is so true, im out on my own 2 years past, my father took ill and i pulled the pin on my full time job so i could visit him in hospital etc. 2 years later its going ok, my father recovered, i sold 7 this month and im up in my parents every morning for a cupa while on the auction and i leave and lift my son to school everyday :) things i couldnt do if i still worked in a 9-5 job. Your health is most definitely your wealth, aslong as i make a wage and have a bit left for a rainy day then thats all that matters :) the grass isnt always greener on the other side, keep the heads up even on the bad months!
