    I had the same thing last month, merc specialist diagnosed as an educated guess two mounts (Engine and Gearbox) had gone, until they were removed you can't see how bad they are. Sorted it for me.

    There's a big plastic pipe that runs down the back of the block, this cracks or opens up causing exactly those symptoms
