harry1 1 Posted May 24, 2019 Hi All, With the newer V5 not having previous keeper details, I have contacted DVLA on a few occasions to forward a letter on to previous owner (costs a fiver), in the hope I can get spare keys or service history. I recently bought a damaged Kia from online auction and did the same. The response I got was that the previous keeper was told to forward the keys and service records to the insurance company. I know there's a slim chance but do you think it would be worthwhile contacting the insurance company to see if they may still have a spare key or service history? The car is needing repair so it will be a while before it's ready so I don't mind if it is a lengthy process. Has anyone has experience of contacting insurance companies for this purpose?
