andymc1973 199 Posted April 12, 2018 bought this last week and it seemed to be a lovely little car, on the drive home it put the spanner light on and seemed to have a miss/hesitation, called surecheck and as usual its not covered, we scanned the code and got back P0171 System Too Lean ' BANK 1, anyway cleared the code and it hasn't come back but the miss is still there Anyone come across this before we start throwing parts at it? Cruise 1 Posted April 12, 2018 Sounds more like an air leak on the intake manifold somewhere. Squirt a bit of brake cleaner around the intake manifold and see if it makes the engine note change, if the engine suddenly changes note then you have an air leak creating a lean mixture. The engine light will not reappear immediately following being cleared, it will monitor the lambda for a number of miles and then throw the light back on once it has determined it is still running lean.
