2004 Audi A8 Engine Management At Limit

Any ideas on this one chaps, the message pops up when the engine is started, the key starts the car fine but I assume its been flat at some stage as the date and time are out, the sat nav screen doesnt pop out of the dash and I think it shuts it down to conserve power, anyone had this?

Have you had the battery checked? It does do that on these models
