jimreidvehicle 255 Posted December 5, 2013 What's everyone's thought's on these takeovers?Is this a good thing or a bad thing for the industry?is it a good thing or a bad thing for customers?In Aberdeen where almost all manufacturers are represented by only three large Dealers, namely Arnold Clark, John Clark & Peter Vardy, how does this give customers a choice for not only Customer Care or Aftersales Care? Now I'm not saying that they don't deliver a good or satisfactory customer care, but often it is the smaller more personal dealer that provides a better level of service.Knowing Darren & Katie Williams, from Grant's Seat and knowing the commitment and energy they have put into running their dealership over the last few, very tough years, it does make you wonder if some of these Manufacturers can even spell the word 'loyal' or 'commitment' or is this what business really about nowadays? Having been through very similar event with a family owned Vauxhall Dealership over 13 years ago, I know how painful this is for staff and the owners and would like to wish them all the best for the future.Your comments please?
