Hi
My first post, been reading the forum for the last 6 months or so but not got around to posting.
I run a Land Rovers workshop, based in the East Midlands specialising in Land / Range Rover Diagnostic work and Defender sales.
Hi there guys I was wondering if anyone who's had experience with the JLR Pathfinder software could help me out with this question
so I've currently got a stolen recovered RR SPORT L494 2019 and as you can imagine the car was stripped out, ive replaced all the ecus but obviously they need programming, ive heard that the JLR pathfinder can do this, Ive sourced a doip VCI online but i'm wondering if you need to pay a topix subscription to program the modules ( second hand ecus). if so which subscription would I require
1. The cheaper of the two, Document subscription
2. independent module programming, which cost more than double the first option!!
Any help will be greatly appreciated
In answer to Prestige Performances question:
Yes, Pathfinder is the system you require, however and its a big however, all Jaguar Land Rover vehicles built after 2017 (including your car) use DOIP rather than OBD, hence the requirement for Pathfinder and not Land Rover SDD as used on pre 2017 JLR cars, DOIP based cars with a few minor exemptions basically can't use 2nd hand ECU's !!!. ECU's can only be programmed from new and cannot be re written.
You have a mammoth task ahead.
You will need a Laptop, Pathfinder program, DOIP VCI, Topix account with document, programming and probably security subscriptions and then a lot of patience.
Drop me a line if you need anymore information.
