  1. I managed to speak to DVLA yesterday regarding v62’s as it was for a key worker.

the simple answer is they are not processing any postal forms being v5’s v62’s etc for the foreseeable future due to staff shortages.

however they did click the magic button in order for my customer to tax at the post office.

google the key worker line and you will be able to speak with someone.

100% hold tight as once they sell its going to be a really tough job replacing.

Bounce back loans could see dealers using that to stock up which could push prices up and there will be a real fight for stock. Those of us who have been selling and delivering have certainly not been able to replace at the same level.

I couldn’t agree more I’ve been fortunate enough to sell a few cars over the last few weeks but replacing them at the right price is proving difficult. I’ve only managed to get lucky with a couple from BCA

Yeah, I can imagine. But as they still avoid honestly and accurately describing stock what else can you do?

I can understand how click and collect could work for new and nearly new stuff but not a 10yr old diesel focus?

And no, the answer is not for everyone to buy new cars instead?

In all fairness I’ve been quite lucky with BCA Bridgwater, ended up getting tucked up with the odd one but as a rule of thumb there ok. Unless your buying cars that are nearly new I don’t personally think there’s much difference between buying a 5 year old or 10 year old focus

    Ive heard that too .

On the other side of the coin I've met some polish mechanics paint sprayers etc that have been some of the best I've seen especially the painter i used

the guy that owns the tyre place is actually one of nicest guys ive ever met and a real hard worker

I agree I know a polish mechanic that actually fixes broken bits not just replaces them!

  5. I have had 3 weeks of the main of my forecourt being fenced off and unusable due to the fuel station next door being refurbished.. I came back from holiday to find it this way (no notice) so for this reason alone I will be asking for a reduced rate for the month. Going on from there I will offer to pay half, as I can not trade.

my landlord owns all his properties outright and my rent goes in his family pension fund so I imagine he’ll be ok with it. He’s a reasonable guy and I’ve never been a day late before!

    I will soon see...

There’s also people getting nothing, let alone £800 per month.

Like myself, my limited company at my showroom has been trading less than a year due to coming away from a partnership... therefore I get nothing! £800 a month would be welcomed
