Result Grant. You must be relieved. That’ll take a bit of the worry off!

Hi mate thanks. We always pay our rent on time and normally the quickest payers on the site.  Very very understanding landlords. I hope everyone is healthy and staying away from this virus. Health is wealth

Just had a car come back after 21 days of being owned by the customer saying it’s not right.

his had restricted performed light and Apparently smoke From the engine bay.

ive just taken it out as it started fine and gave it a bit of welly.  The car ran away with itself uncontrollably when I hit the kick Down in in 3rd - 2nd gear. Went up into the red line I pulled over and yes smoke from engine bay.

    what’s everyone’s thoughts?

Titan are great for a dry vac but they aren’t comparable to a George for a wet vac. It’s only when you use a George do you realise how good they are.

Totally disagree. I’m a gas engineer and the George’s don’t compare. I’ve used my titan for stuff you done even want to know about. All of my colleagues switched from George’s to titans

My titan is 4 years old and still going strong.

I've have adverts capped because of no images (i.e. I am waiting for them to arrive or go through valet but get the description up beforehand). It is up to me if the adverts display images or not surely.

you need some kind of image.... a coming soon image will suffice

I have probably done at least 30 of these. The OE cambelt kits from TPS come with a new stud. I always replace the stud. Part of the problem is the torque setting which iIRC is 40nm+45deg, which is a lot on 8mm. You don't what it was tightened to in the past so you don't know the metallurgical condition of the stud. Any sign of sideways movement with the threads in the head and I tap out to 10mm and fit the M10xM8x73 stepped stud - IIRC its N 909 055 02 from TPS at £3. Make sure the 10mm step is just below the surface of the head - if its not then the tensioner can foul.  I have not yet had an engine come back. On the other hand we have had breakdowns come in with snapped and damaged studs after belt changes done at other repairers. I also take the time to set the torsion to as near to 0.0 as possible - a lot of repairers are in too much of a rush to finish the job properly.

You are the sort of mechanic I like to deal with.
