Smartcar Radio Touch Screen not working

These Smart radios are very poor quality.  The touch screen is old-style resistive and they frequently fail and/or go out of calibration.

What has worked for me is disconnect battery then reconnect and recalibrate the screen. Refer to p27 in the manual found here:

The Bosch sat nav fitted to this age Smarts are as Halfpenny has said are not great, I had two in the past year or two that become really laggy or stopped responding at all. If the reset doesn’t work, let me know as I can give you the details of the company that I used who can replace the touch part of the screen as long as the display underneath is still working.
