Confused and 100% Undecided

Recommended Posts

To be fair to you all, I was 50/50 and this forum contributed to the fact I stayed.. so sure big Thanks for advice. Its a solid 35k salary job.
I still have 12 cars in stock and paying rent for the yard but I don’t mind that..

Looks like Boris will sort you all out tonight hopefully.
I think measures he is taking are very reasonable.

The devil is always in the detail and so far very little detail has been released, so far they have promised a lot and delivered very little so I am on the fence as regarding if they are doing the right things.

All things considered Boris and his chums have been unusually benificent? How long before we feel some pain I wonder?

Well there is only one place this money is going to come from.....

I predict tax rises, maybe 25% VAT. IPT tax rises, AP duty etc.  Oil prices will drop - offset by more duty on fuel. Maybe higher new car taxes..

Expect the UK to suddenly look a lot more 'socialist'. Big spending on NHS to bring it up to European standard, more on social care, maybe inceases in benefits etc.

Or would a National Insurance hike be the way? Tax the super rich more?
It seems pitifully low at the moment. I’ve always thought that. (Probably I’m missing something somebody cleverer than me will point out & it could well be in addition to the other tax rises).

That’s true but the government had already borrowed heavily. Remember that unusually generous budget we had?

The budget is to tell everyone what they are going to do. Pretty sure they haven't spent the money yet and there will be another budget once this is sorted out.

Well BJ has been throwing money about like a rapper? Everyone’s getting handouts, Paye and businesses. So I’m guessing they are dipping in the pot now?

Absolutely. It won’t just be the pot that’s raided, this is not free money. The govt are doing the right thing trying to prop up UK plc BUT there is no such thing as free money.

No probs, The Chancellor made it quite clear we would be paying it all back, probably with some interest I think.

Hopefully the Chinese will buy all our debt like they have being doing in the US and can prop us up.

One day we will all be owned by the Chinese....
