Yup.  Surprised to see so many diesel cars and, there's only a couple I want to stock in the list.

I often wonder about these lists and 'desirability'. It must depend on how many of that type of car are available.  For example, there's a load more Golf/VW crap product about than other lower volume or speccy stuff I like.

Also, just because some spotty teenager has drooled over a Corsa or an A3 it doesn't mean they're a buyer right now. Availability must have an affect on desirability.

The only criteria for the order of their list is "cars advertised" - so nothing to do with 'desirability' (other than the seller's desire to get shot of their car...!)  However Cazana didn't bother to mention if they found them advertised in Autotrader, Gumtree, Ebay, Motors, or their local corner shop window - so who knows!

Lower down the page is a breakdown of the colours on offer. Cazana seemed very surpised that there were as many white coloured cars for sale as black ones (21% each) - but I suppose this means someone looking for a niche could aim for the 3% of the market that doesn't want black, white, grey, red, silver or blue cars... LOL

Who cares what Cazana says,  ask the public who or what Cazana is and they'll have a guess at maybe......a region on Mexico...etc etc.

Completely unknown by the public, they are simply a non entity.....

I have to add, I maybe blunt but I'm right.

You're a funny lad

It's all propaganda... Here goes i will get into my jobsworth thinking mode...

Major platforms like AT have their sponsored junk at the top of the page so people will click on them.

Clicking doesn't prove purchasing.

"Oh let's have a look at that darling it's on the top of the page. Ok its shit"

Now the sponsored adds could push a car heavily on platforms and then because it has been clicked on millions of times they could claim it's the most purchased or desired car.... If that makes sense?

So, we need a definition of the word 'popular' in this context?

most popular car searched for?

most popular car advertised?

most popular car purchased?

All of them, because one feeds one which feeds another.

Searched>purchased>advertised and on it goes.

I remember when Autotrader told us what was most popular in our area, by search.

Turned out 1 month to be Dodge Ram pick ups.

Old High mileage cars always seem popular according to at.

Similar to us, mk4 Astra's and Focus's used to be our bread and butter! If you got a clean Astra estate it would sell like a hot cake!!

Wouldn't touch a (newer) Astra now with a barge pole!!
