Finance question

Recommended Posts

Hi I’m new to car dealing. I’ve no experience in this field of work I’ve been doing it for about 3 months and tbh it’s been going pretty well. I do it from home well I have a yard for the cars. Warranty sorted. I want to be able to offer finance is that a possibility? I think I will be able to sell more cars being able to offer finance

There are weekly threads on this mate, have a look back just a few pages and you’ll find them.

I can help you to obtain your FCA licence if you want to start offering finance

Can I offer finance although I don’t have a building I use for my business. I have a yard at a farm for storage

The bar is pretty low in terms of what is required to obtain your FCA licence. Providing you haven’t got a criminal record for fraud or previously been made bankrupt you will be fine.

Once you have the FCA licence the next step is to sign up with      Finance companies that are willing to partner with you.  The fact you don’t currently have a showroom will mean that some lenders won’t partner with you however there are still plenty that will. Close Brothers and Motonovo both work with many dealers who are setup similarly to yourself. Which of these companies is best to work with though is very much potluck depending on the Account manager for your area. I would invite them both in and decide for yourself who you prefer.

No problem. Helping dealers obtain their FCA licence is what I specialise in.

If you direct message me with your number I’ll call you tomorrow to explain how it works.
