Jaguar XF 2.7D Problem

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Quick question, I have a Jaguar XF 2.7D bringing up restricted performance. Ive plugged it in and it brought up EGR Fault. We have replaced both EGR Valves, then we got them both deleted and blocked as code was still coming up. Even after all this its still bring up codes P2141 + P2142 relating to EGR valves?

Any Help Much Appreciated

I’m not an expert on these, but even when you map them out the wiring and valves still need to be good from memory?

I think a sticking egr is ok but a electrically failed one won’t work.

The code perhaps relates to a flap/throttle. Do these have a flap that closes and draws more egr gases?

Is that the flap in the y piece of pipe on the top of the engine?

the actuator bolts on separately, can you see it moving?

Check all air intake pipes for loose    conections or splits, i had one of these a few months ago, same code, restricted performance message on dash etc, found it was a pipe off giving an incorrect reading
