Invoicing Software

Recommended Posts

Hi all, what invoicing software are you currently using?

I am only a small setup with around 20 cars for sale and about 10 in prep, just getting sick of typing out all my invoices manually using a template.

Wanting something with VRM & Postcode lookup but not really too fussed about all the SAGE & VAT stuff as of yet.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks.

We use dragon2000. Very good in my eyes. And they keep on adding new bits and pieces.

I use a 'wife'.

They are quite old fashioned nowadays, can be somewhat, noisy, temperamental and unreliable if not fed and watered properly and I've found that overall they cost a lot more to run than any software program, unless ya talking something NASA may knock out.

I do agree,I could be watching Match of the Day on a Saturday night and my wife would come in to the room brandishing an invoice and stockbook wanting to know why we had lost £300 on some Mondeo we had in stock for 3 months.

I’m the Regional Manager for ClickDealer, Dragon2000 and Autosales would be good options depending on your needs, budget and future plans for the business. ClickDealer also has a solution.

Call me old fashioned but I still use a templated word document. It's set up well so only takes a max of 5 mins per sale to invoice.

I use Autosales ( just started ) and after the initial pain in the A of loading our last 12 months deals ( as its our year end )  its a brilliant system. Runs alongside our SAGE for VAT and monthly management accounts etc..

I've just signed up for an all encompassing accounts package with a Local firm who are motor trade specialists, so they understand the ins and outs. They do my Vat return, payroll, accounts, POS system and reconsile my bank, basically everything, saved us £££ in the long run and also saved us lots of stress. If anyone want their details, let me know.

I have done the same until July than started using click dealer. I kid you not, customer in the office and an invoice completed in probably a minute to a minute and half. Its rapid. Love it.

If they have enquired for finance or email on the car it finds their info on the system and its even faster.

Hi Mat, looking for a good (motor trade savvy) accountant, could you possibly forward on the details please? Cheers, Adam.
