I usually tell them to come in and see me and then we can discuss the price and see what i can do for them. If they actually bother to turn up then its worth sorting something out, often these morons that just ask for your best price without even seeing the car dont turn out to be buyers anyway.

By the way Umesh my guess is hes looking for the 999 to be taken off " for cash mate"

I simply ignore these enquiries.

I used to respond to these types of enquiries but you can end up getting into days of exchanges with this type of customer and 99% of the time it leads to diddly squat.

me too

you cant even begin to reduce a car price without customer bothering to view because once you've lowered your price they turn up and think they can screw you more

its never worked for me i always tell my customers that the price is fixed but they will be certain to buy if tthey turn up because its the best on offer, any real customer usually does turn up then with messers  going into the ether,

Once they turn up they see you are telling the truth they often never mention price again but obviously you can enhance their package free with gifts to give them a full and happy experiance and often it turns into repeat business over the years as they know they casn trust you

That reads more like a scam email too me. I wouldn't reply to it. The GTR we had advertised at 35k we had an offer of 25k for which I did respond to, sometimes people have budgets that they want to stick too but they usually say I have £xxxx to spend.

my reply this morning 8.10am

Thank you for your enquiry about our Peugeot CC

Here are further details if you've not seen the full video, 360 interior and more images

http://www.specialistcars-stoke.co.uk/listing/peugeot-207-cc-gt-coupe-convertible/

Whilst you may feel its over priced the car , condition and service history speaks for itself , if you appreciate quality over price than you will see how good this car is, there may well be 'cheaper' cars on the market but I don't feel they will be as good as what I have on offer.

If you are interested please feel free to come and have a look close to asking price.

Kind  Regards

Umesh

So this is the update as it happens today.

13.22 He calls to ask if the Peugeot is still available.

14.20 Arrives looks all-round the car which is in the showroom and says "I'm the man who sent you that email ,  Its tidy"

"I said it's so nice it's in the showroom and not just outside"

"Can I take it for a test drive ?" he says

I said "so you like the car ? "

"Yes , very much " he replies

"I said should we discuss the price before I get out of the showroom ?"

Now I'd got in my mind I'd discount it by £250 to do a deal , so I thought I'd ask the question

" What deal are you looking for so we both know where we are at "

He said " I want 12 Months MOT ( MOT Jan 2017) , and 12 Months tax (180) on any car that I buy so I need to build that into the price "

I replied " if you give me the asking price of £5000 and you're happy with the way it drives , do we have a deal ?"

He umered and rrredd was lookin for a better deal than that .. I said just look at the car , you're getting everything you want ..

" Yes " quick drive and literally quick drive ( Him & his wife on their own )

Back in let me give you a deposit - see you next Saturday !
Result !!

14.35 Gone ! Taken me longer to type this :)

He did tell me of 'some of the cheaper ones' he'd seen after giving me the deposit and how bad they were !

You should be ashamed. Selling 'Poor value' cars at a good profit based on your own valuation?

World's gone mad.

Nice result Umesh, i guess patience does pay off at times but i have to admit i've never had a customer start off by telling me my car is overpriced and then end up paying full whack.

Great result Umesh, this prompted me to look back into my portal enquiries tab for last month, I respond to every email, some are timewasters chancing it with a cheeky offer, but found its worth replying and sending more photo's/details of why they should buy from me, looking back had 18 emails which resulted in 4 sales in last 30 days and 3 still thinking about it - all started from emails. I never ignore any, it takes 2 mins to reply, its like ignoring a ringing phone

I like your stepladder photographs and your videos must sell a lot - that's something I should really do more of

As you it's only polite / courtesy to respond to these emails ..... and some do produce results !

'Step Ladder' :) ! Funny you mention that , a guy with a pitch next door to me saw me a few weeks ago on the step ladder .. and shouted '

" I'd never have thought of doing that ..That's how you do it .. I  like that , I may copy you..."

Video's SELL CARS .. I can't say that enough , do them - don't DO SILENT Movies :) , you need to TELL them about the car , not too long - keep the interest ..

Need 360 camera :).

this is the 360 camera that you will need: ( Has to be the 'S' Model ' If you're searching elsewhere don't buy the non S Model)

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ricoh-Theta-S-Camera-Black/dp/B014US3FQI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1475837737&sr=8-1&keywords=theta+s

To ensure its easy to load up to the website etc the guys from FB for Forecourt Neil and David have taken all the hard work away so it makes it so easy ..

Their details :

Tel them you've been talking to me , very helpful

neil@neilweightman.com

david@neilweightman.com

You'll need to down load the app to your phone from the app store and it is a doddle to use .

Suggest you also buy the stand to mount the camera - best thing I ever bought : :)

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rollei-Monkey-Flexible-Tripod-Camcorder/dp/B00NFWN3YK/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1475858504&sr=8-6&keywords=rollei

If you need any help with anything please feel free to give me a bell any time. 01782 822 700.
