  1. Does anyone else get directed to another website when they go to the forum website? Keeps happening to me but maybe its just something with my PC, always directs to a page advertising SEO services. Thanks G
  2. We are registered for the VAT margin scheme. I'm looking at buying a vehicle that isnt part of this scheme and has VAT on top of the purchase price (fiesta van). Do we then claim the VAT back and put 20% on the sale price when selling? Thanks
  3. Looking at getting some quotes for trade policy renewal. There's a lot of brokers out there all claiming to be the best. Anyone recommend a company to go straight to? I'm currently with NIG. Thanks
  4. Thanks, Had a look at the various options, think I'll stay with buying through auctions as you know where you stand with pricing. The sub packages are expensive for the above companies, are they also charging people to advertise? Thanks
  5. Anyone use dealerbid? It has a lot of cars and I get a lot of daily alerts but they mainly seem to be the public selling cars. Very inflated prices as well, no room for profit. There are a lot of monthly subs out there but whats the best to use/value for money? Cheers
  6. Hello all, I've been dealing in used cars for the last 5 years in Scotland on a private basis. I have now incorporated a Ltd company and have bought trade insurance and have just sent off my application for trade plates. Before I was doing around 30 cars a year not really putting much in to it. I've now changed around y lifestyle and looking to put a lot more time in to it. I have a query on V5 docs though. When I acted as a member of public I used to register the car in my name then wait for the V% to come through before I could sell it. How does it work with trade if I buy a car, how do I get the V5 quickly to shift it on within the week if needed? I mainly do cars at around £800-£2000 purchase price and look to make around £500-£800 per car. Also looking for tips on supply. I've bought at auction/private mainly before. Had a look at dealer auction and Autotrade mail. Whats the pros/cons? Thanks in advance. Matt
