This year DNA insuance quoted me 1400£ when bollington is asking 2k.

That £1400 sounds like a nice reduction, is the max value still £10k ?
The problem I get is that I store most of the cars in the unit we prep them in and bring them back to my home for viewing once they're ready, mostly now 'by appointment' viewings when any buyer unknown to me asks to see/buy a car.
I'm currently with Aston Lark, who started out very competitive, but last year made a lot of fuss saying that cars were only insured at my business premises, so the cost took quite a hike.
Unfortunately I'd left it too late to start speaking to others, but in when my renewal comes up in January, I'll certainly spend more time shopping around.
I'm happy to personally take a look at your renewal when it comes up. Drop me a message with your company name and I'll make a note to catch-up with you in December.

I placed my business with them last year after an introduction via the IMDA membership and to be fair they came back with a very good quote using NIG together with a few little sweetners, 0% finance on all monthly payments, anyone can drive on my policy with my permission for business use, handy when you can rope a few people in to drive stuff back from the auctions. It would appear now though they have kicked NIG into touch and all future business is going through AXA. I have not a had a renewal quote as of yet but as we are all sitting at home trying to keep ourselves busy now is an ideal to have a bit ring around to get some additional quotes.
Any recommendations for a decent reliable broker?
Hi Martin,
I manage the team who look after our existing clients and their renewals. I won't go into all the details of the new scheme here, but I can assure you the new offering will provide additional exclusive benefits that your current insurer doesn't currently provide, especially as an IMDA member.
If you have any issues or queries or would like me to keep an eye on your renewal then please get in touch with me, either on here or using the below:

Previous year to that was £1300 with policyplan (who weren't great to be honest) With 5 years NCB, hoping I can get this down a bit!
TIA

I recommend a named name because it's an insurance policy ie you are looking for assurance in insurance more than just filling a legal duty
Very good advice! There's been a few horror stories in the last few years and highly likely to continue in the next few years.
