Hi I don't think it is good offer from Autotrader November will be fully charged when customers can not even view and test drive and can not even collect it from forecourt and December is free they should make November free and charge December invoice hopefully when customer can come in the showroom view and test drive or at least make November 50% off we had 2 inquires today they wanted to come and view and test drive when we told them we can not offer viewing or test drive both of them refused to buy cars with distance selling conditions. I think we will have to speech to Autotrader about their offer or may be i am wrong please comment

Right, you lot. I know there's a beef online between Ling and others - and I'm sort of fed up playing the referee in the middle of it all.

@LINGsCARS - pick up the phone to me - as per my DM - and we can have a chat... I love your passion and your business. Please just try not to wind people up.

Let's all try and be nice to each other. The world is a crap place right now and dirt slinging simply isn't needed.

I get that the above maybe intended to be lighthearted, but come on, let's think about things before posting.

I've spoken to all others concerned and agree there has been fuel added to the fire on all sides.

Let's shake hands, nod in that way you do in the playground when the teacher has told you to kiss and make up - and concentrate on building all our respective businesses so we can crack on when we all get back to normal.

Here's an idea - let's all go outside for Easter and enjoy some sunshine. Maybe the Vitamin D will chill everyone out.

    Much love, peace, etc

    James

I disagree James, she posts inflammatory topics with regards to car salesman, whether it's to provoke a response or she has a mind boggling level of self awareness I'm not sure

have you tried applying for government support to settle the bill ? When are your cars due to hit maybe there taking it case by case if they send out a blanket take a holiday even garages that can afford to pay won’t.

@Lambchop   'failed car washer here'. Bought and sold a few got sick of having a completely weather dependent business and the headache of staff plus the constant influx of easter european / asian washes using the cheapest products in a race to the bottom. Gradually took over the pitch with clean, well presented cars gave the valeters something to do on the wet days. If the car wash was busy the customers cars took priority.

Honestly never looked back.  'Failing' was the best thing I ever did. Grew it as much as I could organically re investing all the time not touching a penny of car sales profit, opened a workshop on a neighbouring unit employed a tech for our own cars,. Did the cars right, when the time was right and the foundations secure borrowed some funding to stock up the space I had available. Its gone very well so far.

Best thing I ever did and kept me out of a lot of trouble.
