  1. Exactly this. Always been filling up at supermarket pumps and never had any issues. Diesel and Unleaded.
  2. Out of curiosity- what car is it?
  3. Personally I give fresh service to all my stock unless it has had recent service. And I would service that Ibiza. Won't cost a fortune and might save few headaches later on...
  4. What help exactly you're asking for? Maybe measure oil pressure with manometer first? Doesn't sound optimistically anywa...
  5. I guess the amount you spend is the only thing they do take seriously.
  6. If you want something done right, do it yourself.
  7. What vehicle you've tried it on?
  8. Never failed to retail a car from anywhere.
  9. Nice stock, Tom. Good to see some classic cars. Good luck.
  10. Dave2302 is your man on here.
  11. Why? No, I haven't. :) Nothing provides 100% guarantee when in comes to treatment. We won't be safe until medication is invented anyway.
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong. When you have a jab, your body produces antibodies to fight virus so not only you won't get infected but can't spread the virus to others.
  13. 1.3 diesel is misconception itself.
  14. Yep, it was strange statement from such an experienced motor trader. I'm bit cautious when it comes to 1.3 or 1.7 vauxhall diesels but 1.9 is solid unit.
  15. Of course. Just forgot to mention. I always use axle stands.
  16. Yep, it is harder and more time consuming. No way I would do it on a pitch with 20 cars.
  17. So even if I sort out all advisories on the MOT and give it fresh service it is still not up to motor trade standards? And I'm talking about sub 2k stuff. The point I was trying to make was that it is all about knowledge and right attitude and you still can do things right without ramp, workshop, team of f1 mechanics etc.
  18. All these things supposed to be checked on MOT anyway? And as a doorstepper I don't see a problem checking discs/pads/springs/brake hoses/cv joint gaiters/tyres by using simple 30£ jack.
  19. I totally agree with you. My point was- we all know what some punters are like and law is on their side unfortunately. There are tons of stories on this forum about it.
