I think the forthcoming ban on DCI is a great thing. In theory this should create a more level playing field for us all. Car Supermarkets with little or no chassis profit are earning upto 2k a car on finance commission. The only reason they earn huge amounts is by legging customers up with high rates of interest. The supermarkets will have to alter their business model and return to earning something out the chassis. This should help with auction prices...

Exactly the same for me. Had a moran stating how long I had a car in stock (5 weeks) and the price changes (up) - thanks CG. Sooner that ends the better.

I bought and sold lots on autotrade mail pre autotrader take over. There’s no independant dealer site that’s open to businesses like mine for buying and selling. Good idea for someone?????

Council has a bank???? Which council is this? Not like they are already ripping us off with increased council tax to fund their little projects now they want you to bank with them? I wouldn't trust them. Remember what happened to Northampton council?

I used to use this platform, but like another user said, when A Trader bought it and doubled the monthly fee i came off immediately !!! Just had an invoice of £99 plus vat from Dealer auction, and ive decided not to renew that either, cars are NOT as described , and the prices are mental at times.

Never had a Zuto commission so stopped them after i questioned that very fact , I sell through our own Finance connections very easy at better rates for the customer and far far quicker too .Customer walks in looks at car 30 mins later they drive away with finance in place . When you see the commission money coming in as you go forward selling finance you will change your mind later on believe me the no commission deals are hard to take on board after a while

Interesting i guess this is why the supermarket buyer can pay a premium at auction because of finance margins which may also help us if there is less margin in the finance deal for them it may push the prices down to where the margins are per bonnet not per finance deal will have to wait and see

I dropped them last month, fed up with the low quality "leads", I was on the upgraded package and my advice would be...... Don't do it.

Might make main dealers and super mkt NEED to earn on the metal instead of ripping the heart out of Finance deals and putting bad taste in customers heads . If they have to earn money on Metal us indies will shine through maybe , lets hope so .

If you have an autosmart rep they can lend you a fogger machine and buy a cartridge. Gets rid of most smokey smells. Smokers cars tend to be becoming rarer thankfully.

Max we enjoy great success with Facebook advertising, most of which is done with boosted posts, one of the main things is the eye catching pictures that you MUST use, take alook at what we do on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/jimreidvehicles , you also have to be available to reply quickly and put up with some really stupid questions but if you persist then it will pay off Quite happy to share what we have learned Jim
